Directions:
From the Eastern Townships Autoroute 10, take the exit for St.-Benoit-Du-Lac, and follow Route 112 in the direction of Magog, Quebec, until you reach Chemin des Peres. Follow Chemin des Peres for about 8 miles until you reach the village of Austin. Chemin des Peres becomes Chemin Nicholas Austin when you reach the Austin townline.
At the four corners in Austin, continue straight until you see Chemin Cooledge in the direction of Knowlton Landing. Follow that road until you see Chemin de la Pointe, in the direction of Vale Perkins. The cemetery is located on Chemin de la Pointe.
Background: Named after Moses George who came to Bolton Township, from the United States, in 1794, and settled in the George Pond area with his wife, Abigail, this cemetery dates back to 1834. It sits on a knoll and is surrounded by an iron fence and gate bearing its name. It is well maintained and could still be an active cemetery having had a burial as recent as 2019.
