Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery is owned and maintained by the City of Rock Springs.

History

Rock Springs Cemetery was founded in 1889, and served various small towns surrounding the City of Rock Springs. In 1924, city residents worked as volunteers for months moving other unregistered graves outside of town to the cemetery.

In the 1980's the cemetery was completely surveyed and re-landscaped.

The cemetery is comprised of three major sections: Saint Joseph, Mountain View, and Paul J Wataha. Each of these major sections are broken down into several smaller sections (see attached map) which were named after town Mayors.
