Ruble-Mayhew Cemetery
Mineral Wells, Wood County, West Virginia

Lat: 39° 12' 06"N, Lon: 81° 32' 02"W

This cemetery is located on property owned by John Stephens along Rt. 14 South just past Pettyville/Lost Pavement Road.

I was unable to get permission from the landowner to visit this cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Ruble were kind enough to let me view their notes and photographs of the stones in this cemetery to compile this transcription. The property was at one time owned by Mr. Ruble's family.

This is a family cemetery that has not been used since 1958. The cemetery has not been cared for in many years and is very overgrown now.

I transcribed this cemetery on Jul 27, 2003. This is a complete transcription of all existing headstones and/or records.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
