Cooper Family Cemetery
Mineral Wells, Wood County, West Virginia

Take the Mineral Wells exit off of I-77. Travel about 2 miles on Rt. 14 South. Turn left onto Mason Drive. Cemetery is about 100 yards on the left.

This is a very old family cemetery on property that was originally owned by Henry and Lydia Cooper. They came to Wood County around 1800. The property is now owned by the Barnett family. They are Cooper descendants. The cemetery has not been used in many years and until recently, was very overgrown. The family has recently cleared the cemetery and repaired some of the stones with the help of the Wood County Historical Society.

This is a complete reading of all the stones present when I walked and transcribed this cemetery on Jul 27, 2009. Many of the stones are very worn so complete accuracy of this transcription cannot be guaranteed.
