Byrd Cemetery
Wood County, West Virginia

Contributed by Teresa Fordyce, May 23, 2003, last edited Jul 16, 2007 [s82c43@verizon.net]. Total records = 8.

Take Rt. 47 East out of Parkersburg for about 10 miles. Turn left onto Walker Road. Travel Walker Road for 0.2 mile. The cemetery is on the right side of the road.

This is a small family cemetery that is no longer used. The last burial was in 1919. The property is now owned by the Cox family, who keep the cemetery mowed.

I walked and transcribed this cemetery on May 23, 2003.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
