Archer Cemetery
Laurel Creek, Wood County, West Virginia

Lat: 39° 16' 07"N, Lon: 81° 25' 21"W

Take Old St. Mary's Pike out of Parkersburg to Laurel Creek Road. Turn right onto Laurel Creek Road and travel for 2.3 miles. Turn left at the driveway with the mailbox number 151-3. The cemetery is to the right at the top of the hill.

This is a small private family cemetery on property owned by Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Barker. You will need to obtain permission from the Barkers to visit this cemetery.

This cemetery contains four graves marked by only one large stone with two individuals on each side. The stone is completely surrounded by a large concrete structure. The grounds around the structure are beautifully kept. The structure itself is in need of some repairs, which the Barkers plan to make.

I walked and transcribed this cemetery on Aug 23, 2003.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
