Chandler Cemetery
Cleveland, Webster County, West Virginia

Lat: 38° 43' 40"N, Lon: 80° 23' 20"W

Contributed by Zelma Fisher, Sep 12, 2006 [zelfish65@yahoo.com]. Total records = 10.

This Cemetery is located in Cleveland, just off Rt. 20, just south of the Upshur county line on a ridge just ahead. There is no road, but one may walk to the site easily.

I did not find out who owns and maintains this cemetery, but it is a very old cemetery most of the monuments are made of field stones. Since the monuments are scattered over a large area. I believe the cemetery may contain many graves that are no longer marked. A few sunken places also resemble places where graves are.

Terry Fisher and I transcribed the information for this cemetery in the fall of 2005.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
