Directions from Elkview: 119W towards Clendenin (7.1 mi), turn
right onto French St. (0.1 mi), turn left onto Walnut St. (0.0 mi),
turn left onto Kanawha Ave. W. (0.0 mi), follow to Koontz Cemetery
Rd.(on right) and follow up hill to cemetery.
This cemetery was taken over by the city of Clendenin approx.
1939 and records prior to that date are sketchy at best. Cemetery
is very well maintained.
I walked this cemetery several times beginning 2004 to acquire
pictures of family members headstones and it escalated from there.
