Black Hawk Cemetery
Troy Township, Sauk County, Wisconsin

Lat: 43° 16' 31"N, Lon: 89° 55' 34"W

Contributed by Kathy Waddell, Apr 16, 2003, last updated Jul 20, 2003 [kaffe03@yahoo.com]. Total records = 871.

Location: East side of Highway C just south of the intersection with Highway O. The cemetery is behind the Black Hawk United Methodist Church.

This cemetery borders the Black Hawk United Methodist Church on the east, north and south side. There are current burials in this cemetery.

These sections are listed A-G from south to north. The line between E & D runs between the twin sets of trees.

The cemetery was originally copied by the Wisconsin Old Cemeteries Association on June 16, 1976. It was these records that I used to verify stones that had become unreadable or were not longer there.

I surveyed and copied this cemetery on Aug 31, 2002.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
