Newton Cemetery
Marquette County, Wisconsin

Newton Township
Lat: 43°57'10"N, Lon: 89°26'45"W

Contributed by Larry L Ketchum, Mar 22, 2003 [xgkids@maqs.net]. Total records = 12.

Location: Newton Township, Marquette County, Wisconsin. From highway I-39 in the Village of Westfield, go east 3.9 miles on CTH E to CTH B, turn left (north) on CTH B and go 3.6 miles, cemetery is on west side of road.

The cemetery is well maintained by the Township of Newton, but it has not been used in many decades, and most of the stones have deteriorated badly. There is also evidence of unmarked graves.

I have transcribed from my readings, which I took from all known tombstones, on Sep 17 1997.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
