Cold Spring Union Cemetery
Jefferson County, Wisconsin

T5N R15E Sec 19 NW¼
Lat: 42°53'15"N, Lon: 88°46'37"W

Contributed by Sandra Wellman, Oct 11, 2001 [sudsy@compufort.com]. Total records = 290.

1) Take Hwy 12/18 south out of Fort Atkinson about 5 miles to Carnes Rd., go left. Carnes Rd. is very curvey, be careful. Stay on it until you see the cemetery coming up on the right on a hill (on Cold Spring Road). You WILL see it, can't miss it.

2) The second way is to take Hwy 106 east out of Fort Atkinson to Hwy N, take a right and follow it into Cold Spring. In Cold Spring go right on either road and you'll be taken to Cold Spring Rd. where you take a left and go up a hill to the cemetery.

Transcribed 19 Aug 2001 by Sandra L. Wellman & Brian K. Larson.

Cold Spring Union Cemetery was in good condition when we were there and is well cared for and still in use. I could not find out who owns it. I also did not find out when it started, but according to the death dates, there is one marker dating back to 1844, more than one 1845, so it must go back to that space in time.

    cemetery records

A free online library of cemetery records from thousands of cemeteries across the world, for historical and genealogy research.

    Clear Digital Media, Inc.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
