Total records = 2,199.
Mountain View Cemetery is located on 7th Ave, (Hwy 20) one block west
of Aladdin Road, on the east side of Colville WA. It is on the north side
of the street across the road from Highland/Calvary cemetery.
Mountain View is perpetual care, owned by Danekas Funeral home.
It has very flat grounds, one of the few I have read not on a hill. The
hill for this one lies to the north as a view. There are no upright headstones,
only flat, which gives the appearance of a park from a distance.
Vicki Morris and I walked this cemetery Aug 13-14, 2000. Vicki packed
the notepad and I the digital camera, sometimes we switched. The majority
are on disk and most turned out quite good, altho I take photos only to
get the inscriptions, which means I do not always have the whole headstone.
I would be glad to share any of them if I have one someone wants.
After compiling our survey, I compared with other past readings, key
below. If anyone has a correction or addition, I would be very happy
to accept it.
