Cemetery History

The Washington Soldiers Home is located on 181 acres in Puyallup Valley near Orting. Established in 1891, this was the first of four homes built for Washington state veterans.

The cemetery is often referred to as, "U.S. Soldiers Home Cemetery", and "Old Soldiers Home Cemetery".
