To reach cemetery, driving north on Hwy 97 turn left or west onto the B&O Road, crossing the river into Malott. Continue north for about 1/2 mile and turn right onto North Malott Road, the cemetery will be on your left.

This is a small community cemetery, according to another reading it is about 7 acres in size. It will have plenty of room for expansion for years to come. At present there about four acres fence in and in use.

I did not find out how or when it began, but land for this cemetery was surveyed and platted on Jun 06, 1931. There are earlier burials dating back to the 1890s. At present it is owned and maintained by the Mallot Cemetery Association.

The cemetery divided into a lower and upper level and it seems as if the older graves were up in the upper level. There were many graves I was unable to identify. Some entries are under miscellaneous because they are missing enough information to identify them.

I compared our work with a reading done in 1983 by Cynthia Tollefson and Melanie Bivens, published by OCGS in Omak WA. When I returned to the cemetery I found many stones which I did not find on the first trip. Some of those listed this time with an asterisk, were there last time and this time I could not find them, some were from the 1983 reading and I did not find them at all.

Vicki Morris and I walked this cemetery on Sep 24, 2000, including both levels in one file. We returned again on May 11, 2007 and read it again using digital cameras. An asterisk * has been placed following entries for which I do not have a photo of the stone. Some stones were illegible.
