Smith Hollow Cemetery
Columbia County, Washington
Contributed by Pat Higley, Jun 5, 2000 [thehigs52@comcast.net].
Total records = 5.
To reach the cemetery travel east on Highway 12 toward Spokane. One mile
from Dayton City limits turn left onto Whetstone road keeping to the right
to the Smith Hollow road. At the Smith Hollow road sign turn right onto
gravel road and follow to the old Smith Hollow School. Just before you
get there you will approach a "Y". Take the road to the left (sign says
Starbuck). Across from the school on the right hand side of the road is
the cemetery. The only markers left are located upon the hill by a large
locust tree.
Smith Hollow cemetery at one time had many wooden markers which were
all destroyed by fire.
These records were transcribed by Pat Higley in 1999 from readings done
by the Columbia County Genealogical Society in 1978, used by permission.
