Marengo Cemetery
Columbia County, Washington

T11N R41E Sec 18

Contributed by Pat Higley, Jun 6, 2000 [thehigs52@comcast.net]. Total records = 3.

This cemetery is almost totally destroyed. To reach it from Dayton, travel east on Highway 12 toward Spokane to just across the Tucannon River. Turn right off the highway onto the Tucannon Road. Pass the Fireside Cafe and follow up the Tucannon just 1/2 mile beyond the green 10 mile marker. In a field to the right sometimes one or two stones are visible. This is just .4 miles before you get to the old Marengo Community Church. Approximately 24 miles from Dayton.

These records were transcribed by Pat Higley in 1999, from readings done by the Columbia County Genealogical Society in 1978, used by permission. CCGS, Rte #1, Box 43, Dayton WA 99328

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
