One can reach this cemetery by driving south from Ritzville on Hwy 261 for about 5½ miles, until you reach Urquhart Rd. Turn left or east and continue for 1.7 mi. The cemetery lies to your left, some distance back from the road.

It appears there is about an acre of land which could be used for cemetery. It is not taken care of and the weeds were shoulder height, plus the badger and squirrel holes make walking difficult. Amazingly the headstones were not too difficult to read. I visited and surveyed this cemetery on Oct 02, 1999.

This cemetery, also known as Baumann/Nissan/Friese Cemetery, now has a new sign as you enter, placed there by the Adams County Centennial Committee. It reads "German Methodist Cemetery, Established 1886. I was unable to find history on this name change.
