This is an old cemetery located on our property above our house. We
built on my old family home place in 1985. It is really pretty. It has
a chain link fence around it and a large section that can be removed
when needed to bury someone.
The cemetery is still active, however it is a private family cemetery.
My is the caretaker husband, a job he started in 1964 because my uncle
and aunt were too old to do it anymore.
I have transcribed from the records of Jerry and Mary G. Cooper Trustee's
and family of the Goodwin/Wood Cemetery. It was established by John
Edward and Sarah Ellen Goodwin Wood after the death of William Rosswell
Wood their child in 1891.
