In Burr Hill, from the intersection of Burr Hill Road (Route 692) and Zoar Road (Route 611), turn onto Burr Hill Road and go .53 south/southwest until you reach 4500 Burr Hill Road. Turn onto the driveway and go north about 25 yards. The cemetery is on the west of the road.

This is a small family cemetery that I found in good condition. The cemetery was started by John R. Rhoades who lived on the property back in the early part of the 19th century. The cemetery contains most of the descedants of the John Rhoades Family.

I talked to the owner of the property and he said that one of the headstones is missing. The base of the headstone is only there. There are five unmarked field stones and four headstones with only the person's initials on it.

I visited and read this cemetery on Aug 18, 2010.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
