Bowles Cemetery
Mineral, Louisa County, Virginia

2517 Highway #522, Mineral VA

Lat: 38° 02' 42"N, Lon: 77° 52' 56"W

Contributed by Anne Braun, Dec 31, 2006 [annieb1961@comcast.net]. Total records = 9.

In Mineral, from the intersection of Highways 522 and 22, go 2.9 miles north/northeast on Highway 522. The cemetery is about 40 feet from the west side of the road.

A small cemetery that has been abandoned. Some of the headstones are faded and hard to read. There was one headstone that I was told is buried here that I could not find. There have been no new burials since 1941.

This is all existing stones, from when I visited it on Dec 28, 2006.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
