Cumberland, Cumberland County, Virginia

Lat: 37° 27' 29"N, Lon: 78° 14' 47"W

Beginning at Cumberland Courthouse proceed east from Rt 60 at Cumberland Courthouse down Rt 600 to Rt 641 Go left/south on Rt 641 past Booker Cemetery, down hill, across creek. Proceed up the hill towards Rt 631. Cemetery is in the trees, right/west side of Rt 641, at the crest of the hill (If you reach Rt 631 you've gone too far)

The cemetery appears to be a family cemetery which began about 1909, according to the stones and last one was in 1947.

The cemetery is hidden in the trees about 200 yds from the road and is not being used at the time of this reading.

I walked this cemetery in the 1980s. This includes all existing and legible markers and stones at that time. Cemetery was in good condition.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
