From Winston, go .2 miles southwest on Highway 522. The cemetery
is on the east side of the road surronded by a stone fence.
This is a small cemetery that is in fair condition. There is
one large granite headstone with the name "Winston" on it. There
are about ten 2 feet by 1 foot in ground markers with the person's
name, birthdate, and date of death.
The cemetery was started in 1906 when Malcolm Boddie Winston
died and family decided to bury him in an open field next to the
church that Malcolm's father helped build. The stone church and
the little cemetery still stands today.
I walked the grounds and recorded all gravestones and markers
on Jun 30, 2012. This is a complete listing of all existing and
legible gravesites as of that date.
