Directions to Mustang Cemetery from Huntsville, Texas. Go west on SR 30 about 16 miles. Turn right or north onto CR 228, which will br just after you enter into Grimes County. Continue for about 4 miles. Just before you cross the border where three roads meet, continue straight onto Gate Road, and the cemetery will be on your left just after you cross back into Walker County.

This cemetery is owned by the Mustang Cemetery Association, which operates under the following board. Maps show this cemetery in Walker County, but there has been much debate locally that it might be in Grimes County, not Walker. (Grimes Co. is going to help us with the cemetery, Walker will help on the road only). This is something that has been going on for 50 years. As of May 29, 2009, I am told it is official that it is in Walker County.
