Old Liberty Cemetery
Montague County, Texas

Submitted by David Springer, Aug 23, 2002 [david@springer.net]. Total records = 23.

Located 6.9 miles east of Sunset Texas on FM 1749, then .5 miles north.

I do not know who owns this cemetery. It borders the public road. I would assume the cemetery was started about 1873, from the burial dates.

The cemetery is regularly maintained and is not over grown. There are no graves without engraved tombstones.

This is a complete transcription of this cemetery, ranscribed by Helene Springer and myself on Aug 23, 2002.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
