Shead Cemetery
Limestone County, Texas

Contributed by Bruce Jordan, Aug 10, 2003 [bjordan@glade.net]. Total records = 73.

From Highway 84 between Waco and Mexia, turn north on LCR 124 (Debbie's Lane), go about 1 mile. The cemetery is visible on the left side of the road.

Shead Cemetery has been badly neglected and is overgrown with brambles. Occasionally neighbors try to clean it.

When the cemetery was read in the mid 1970s, the following tombstones were located but were not located when the cemetery was read in 2003 *

Linda Jordan and I read this cemetery Mar 2003, which includes all existing headstones.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
