Norris Cemetery
Limestone County, Texas

Lat: 31° 19' 00"N, Lon: 96° 32' 54"W

Contributed by Bruce Jordan, Sep 30, 2004 [bjordan@glade.net]. Total records = 18.

From Highway 164 between Mart and Groesbeck, go north on FM 339 about 1 mile until From Highway 7 turn north on LCR 707. Go 3 miles. On the right you will see a brick home set back off the road with a circle drive. This is the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ramby. The Cemetery is on their property and you will have to get permission to see the Cemetery.

The history of the cemetery is not known. The earliest marker is dated 1875 and the latest is 1921. This cemetery was deeded for two acres but is just about three fourths of an acre now in a grove of trees. It has no fence around it and cattle are free to graze there.

These records were compiled in the Spring of 2004, when I read this cemetery. This includes all existing headstones, except for two huge tombstones that had fallen over face down and could not be read.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
