Masters Cemetery
Limestone County, Texas

Lat: 31° 23' 46"N, Lon: 96° 29' 54"W

From Thornton, go west on FM 1246 about 10 miles. Turn right on LCR 758, and go down about 12 miles. Masters Cemetery is on the left on LCR 758.

This cemetery is in poor shape. It is on property owned by a company who leases it to individuals. The leasers were letting their cows trample these graves. Most headstones were broken. I recorded what I could.

This is very sad. I tried to get back to this Cemetery in 2002, but could not because of growth and cattle. You can not see any signs of this Cemetery. The only way to get there is if you know where it is.

I walked and surveyed this cemetery in 2000. This includes all existing headstones which were readable.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
