Ebert Cemetery
Guadalupe County, Texas

Ebert Road
Marion, TX

Contributed by Jackie Valentien [jrval59@gvec.net] on May 29, 2002. Total records = 55.

Take I-10 east from San Antonio and when you enter Guadalupe Co. (Cibolo Creek Bridge) continue east to Santa Clara Exit. Exit and go north, as you approach an S curve take a right onto Ebert Rd. Immediately take a left and continue to the house at the end of the road.

The original owner of the house and cemetery and the land surrounding it was owned by Michal Schultze. When he died in 1886, his wife Elizabeth married August Ebert. Both Schultze and Ebert couples are buried in this cemetery.

This cemetery is on private property and you must ask for permission to enter. At the time this transcription was compiled, the owners are Felix and Mary Jane Heusinger.

These records were compiled in the spring of 2002 from the headstones. They were then checked against a previous transcription. These records are only of the graves that have headstones on them. Old timers tell me there were others buried there, but they have no markers.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
