To get to Kurten Cemetery take Hwy 21 from Bryan to Madisonville. Then turn left onto FM 2030 and then turn left on to Kurten Cemetery Rd.

The cemetery was started in 1865 when Mr Kurten's daughter died. Everyone who is buried there and their relatives started working for Mr Kurten. It is still active and has 729 graves so for.
