West View Cemetery
Hamilton County, Tennessee

Contributed by Lana Floyd, June 2000 [w4ctk@farmerstel.com]. Total records = 87.

Westview Cemetery is located on East Brainerd Rd. just before you get to the intersection of East Brainerd and Ooltewah-Ringgold Rd. It is the cemetery beside the Westview Cumberland Pres. Church. The land was given to the church as well as the land across the street for Westview Elementary School by the Igous. If the land for the school is ever not used to have a school, it goes to the Igou descendants, but now, they are in the process of building a new school just behind the old one. There are approximately three hundred graves. It was established in 1830.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
