Cemetery History

Developers on this property discovered 14 graves during digging. Dan Allen, a local archaeologist was consulted. In November 2007, a Chancery Court ruled that the developed was permitted to relocate the graves to a new location in the rear of the property. Jan Cain, Una Community Leader, visited the cemetery during the project.

The 14 graves were relocated on the same tract of land with an iron fence surrounding the cemetery. Of the 14 graves, only 7 had identifiable tombstones, and of them only 6 had inscriptions.

Records below were transcribed under the, "Davidson County Cemetery Survey", a volunteer-conducted survey of family & community cemeteries in Davidson County, TN. This project began in Fall of 1999, originally launched by 12 members of the National Society of The Colonial Dames of America (NSCDA). The resulting survey was published on its website, and placed into the public domain through Davidson County's Metropolitan Goverment Archives.
