Pine Slope Cemetery is owned by the City of Belle Fourche.

Cemetery History

Pine Slope Cemetery was established on January 22, 1900 when the City of Belle Fourche filed a plat map with the courthouse. It was created on land originally owned by George V. Ayres. Ayres sold 160 acres of the land to George W. Thompson who eventually acquired water and mineral rights. The City acquired the property on February 26, 1897.

In 1906, graves from old Riverside Cemetery were supposedly moved to the new site.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
