Contributed by Janette Ledbetter, Aug 30, 2009, last edited Mar 23, 2011 [yddraig@bellsouth.net]. Total records = 53.

In Travelers Rest, driving south on N Main Street, turn right or west onto McElhaney Road. The cemetery is to your left just as you turn, beside the church.

This cemetery is owned and maintained by the First Baptist Church.

It appears to have been established in the early 1900s, judging from the stones.

I walked and read all existing and legible headstones and markers in this cemetery on Jan 22, 2004.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
