History

St. Columba Cemetery was established in 1889. It is one of two Diocesan cemeteries located on the East Bay. Consisting of 64 total acres, only 9 have been developed for burials thus far. With more than 23,000 burials in its history, St. Columba Cemetery averages only 185 burials per year, making it one of the slowest growing cemeteries in the Diocese.
