To get to the cemetery: From Ambler take Butler Pike west and turn right on Morris Road. Go approximately 1.8 miles, then turn left on Penllyn-Blue Bell Pike. The cemetery is on the right (north) side of the road about 1/2 mile from the turn.
The Boehm Cemetery is owned and operated by the Boehm Reformed Church, which is adjacent to the cemetery. The church was established in 1740 by Reverend John Philip Boehm with burials commencing shortly thereafter.
The cemetery contains, among others, the remains of unknown Patriots of the American Revolution who died in the nearby church from wounds received at the Battle of Germantown. Burials are still performed at the cemetery. Many of the older stones are difficult or impossible to read.
I walked and read this cemetery in the summer of 2004. It includes all existing and legible stones.- Daniel L. Loss
