Roseberry Cemetery
Center Township, Greene County, Pennsylvania

Lat: 39° 51' 53"N, Lon: 80° 18' 04"W

Contributed by Brad Jarvis, Oct 28, 2007, last edited Apr 08, 2009 [forza@windstream.net]. Total records = 62.

From Waynesburg, take Route 21 west approximately 6.5 miles, passing through the town of Rogersville, approximately a half mile past Rogersville, turn left onto Route 18, south at the blinking yellow light. Continue traveling south on Route 18 for approximately 1.5 miles. Turn right onto Tower Road. The cemetery will be immediately on your right, behind the home of Mr. and Mrs. Crouse atop a steep bank.

This cemetery is in poor condition, with several fallen stones, but it is cleared off at least once a year and is surrounded by a fence. The cemetery is in the care of the Holbrook Christian Church. Mr. Crouse informed me that when he first moved to this property in the 1950s, the cemetery still had a sign to identify it over the entrance, however, that sign has been gone now for quite some time. The last burial took place here in 1945.

I walked the cemetery on Apr 17, 2007. This transcription is complete and includes all existing stones. I also have digital photographs of all the stones and would share them with anyone interested.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
