Roberts Cemetery

From Waynesburg follow Route 21 West approximately 6.5 miles through the town of Rogersville and to a blinking yellow light. Bear to the right and stay on Route 21 West for another 4 miles until you come to the small village of Rutan. Make a left onto Jacobs Run and follow for .4 miles, passing by Claylick Road on your left and a gas pipeline right of way on your right. Just ahead will be a house and barn.

One should ask permission from the home owner to park your car here. The cemetery is located near the wood line at the top of the of the gas pipeline right of way on the left hand side.

Today the cemetery is in very poor condition. It is quite overgrown with brush and large trees and is no longer maintained. I found three unidentifiable field stone markers.

I walked the cemetery on 13 Feb 2009. This transcription is complete and includes all existing stones. I also have digital photographs of all the stones as well as many views of the cemetery itself and would share them with anyone interested.
