Grandview Cemetery
Garrison, Greene County, Pennsylvania

Lat: 39° 43' 46"N, Lon: 80° 25' 17"
Freeport Township

Contributed by Brad Jarvis, Dec 13, 2009, last edited Dec 14, 2009 [forza@windstream.net]. Total records = 73.

From the Route 21/Route 18 split just west of Rogersville, turn on to Route 18 South at the blinking yellow light and follow for 15.1 miles until you come to the small town of Garrison. Turn left onto Renners Creek Road and follow for a tenth of a mile. The Grandview Methodist Church, which was established in 1892, will be on your left. Park here and follow a grass lane behind the church up to the cemetery.

This cemetery is in very good condition and is maintained on a regular basis. A fence surrounds it and access can be gained through a large white gate. The cemetery sign also is attached to the gate. The last burial took place here in 1977. Only a few stones have fallen from their bases, but generally they are all still legible.

I walked the cemetery on Dec 04, 2009. This transcription is complete and includes all existing stones. I also have digital photographs of all the stones as well as many views of the cemetery itself and would share them with anyone interested.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
