Crouse Cemetery
Center Township, Greene County, Pennsylvania

From the Route 21 West/Route 18 North split in west Waynesburg, follow Route 21 West 3.5 miles. Make a sharp left into a private driveway that crosses the creek over a bridge. The driveway is just before the old one room Crouse Schoolhouse. The cemetery is located behind and to the left of the house on the property. You must walk through a tunnel that goes underneath railroad tracks, then around a pond on a path to reach the cemetery.

The property surrounding the cemetery is owned by Marilyn Detwiler, who purchased it in 1989. Please ask permission from the owner of the property before walking to the cemetery.

I found this cemetery is in poor condition and is not maintained on a regular basis, however the path to the cemetery is maintained. One large stone has fallen from its base. I also found another base and top without a stone.

I walked the cemetery on 22 Mar 2009. This transcription is complete and includes all existing stones. I also have digital photographs of all the stones as well as many views of the cemetery itself and would share them with anyone interested.
