Claylick Cemetery
Rutan, Center Twp, Greene County, Pennsylvania

Lat: 39° 52' 48"N, Lon: 80° 21' 53"W

Contributed by Brad Jarvis, Jan 20, 2008, last edited Apr 08, 2009 [forza@windstream.net]. Total records = 68.

From Waynesburg follow Route 21 West through the town of Rogersville to a blinking yellow light. Bear right at the light and stay on Route 21 West. Follow for approximately 5 miles until you come to the small village of Rutan and make a left onto Jacobs Run (SR3007), and continue for approximately 1 mile, then left onto Claylick Road and follow for approximately 2 1/2 miles. The cemetery will be on your left and can be easily seen from the road.

There is a very large pine tree growing in the middle of it. At one time the Claylick Church was situated beside the cemetery.

The cemetery is well maintained. All stones are standing. I found 3 unidentified fieldstone markers. The last burial took place here in 1998.

I walked the cemetery on Apr 08, 2007. This transcription is complete and includes all existing stones. I also have digital photographs of all the stones as well as many views of the cemetery itself and would share them with anyone interested.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
