From I-5, take the Terwilliger Blvd exit and follow the signs for Lewis
and Clark College to get onto Terwilliger southbound. Turn left (down
the hill) on Taylors Ferry Road. There are two large cemeteries on Taylors
Ferry: the first is Beth Israel and the second is Riverview. Both entrances
are well marked and on your right.
Riverview is one of Portland's oldest and largest privately owned cemeteries
founded in 1882 by the leading families of the day. The early burials
are a veritable history of Portland's founders and early leaders. The
cemetery is still in operation and maintenance is on-going.
