As you are driving west on Hwy 126, there is a bridge off Hwy 126 that crosses the Siuslaw River & gets to a small dirt road which is called Old Stagecoach Road. Turn right & go a little way, probably less than a mile. There will be a gate on the left (no sign) that goes up through a farmers field up the hill to the cemetery.

This cemetery is in the old community of Linslaw, which was only a Post Office for a long time, but neither town or PO exists today, only the old cemetery. It is sometimes referred to as the Old Linslaw Cemetery.

I do not know who started this cemetery. The sign placed at the cemetery says it began in 1900. At the present time it is being cared for by Ralph Boring, and it is hoped that the Boring family will continue to maintain it in the future.

The numbers following each entry are the plot numbers as listed on the map, giving the location of the burial in the cemetery. A few burials are not shown on the map.

To obtained this information from family records, records in the Siuslaw Pioneer Museum, from a cemetery map and a visit to the cemetery on Jul 09, 2005. This contains all existing record of burials, I was able to find up to this date.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
