Fairview Cemetery
Owasso, Tulsa County, Oklahoma

Owasso Twp, Section 29
Lat: 36° 15' 53"N, Lon: 95° 50' 31"W

From Tulsa, Okla. go north on Hwy 169 to 76th Street North. Turn right, east, go about 2 blocks. Cemetery is on the north side of road.

The earliest burial they have records for is Ollie M Garrigus, d. 23 Mar 1902. If I read the old sand stone correctly, Helen Allen Russell, b. 1818, d. 1841, would be the oldest grave.

The Cherokee Indians deeded the cemetery to the City of Owasso, Oklahoma in 1904. The records were burned in 1938, so they have been re-created by memory or by relatives.

This cemetery is fenced & well maintained by the city. The only burials are ones with lots already purchased. The cemetery can not be enlarged.

I walked the cemetery in Nov 2001.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
