Holcomb Cemetery
Grady County, Oklahoma

Contributed by Sandi Carter [redfox5@sbcglobal.net].  Total records = 23.

Holcomb Cemetery belonged to the Chickasaw and Choctaw Nations and is currently owned by Mrs. Thad Smith in Norman.

It is located NW of Chickasha, Grady CO, OK, on Airport Road going N on Hwy 81. It's way back in a copse of trees in a cow pasture on the right side of a house.

In order to visit this cemetery a high fence must be climbed and a walk in the pasture is required. There is another fence around two plots. One plot has no gate. The other plot containing the Fitzpatrick, Maupin, and Moncrief families, must be climbed. There are two rows of barbed wire along the top of the fence. So, going in that plot is not recommended. All stones may be seen from the outside.

The *'s indicate our family members.  The others might be relatives.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
