Location: Sacred Heart Cemetery is located on the west side of Bennington village limits, along the south side of Clinton St. (State Highway 354), just to the west of Alleghany Rd (State Highway 77).

Sacred Heart Cemetery is located behind Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. The church was built in 1872, and it's likely that burials began at that time. The cemetery today measure two-acres in size. Both the church and cemetery are owned by Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, which is based out of the same church. The Parish owns another church and cemetery, Our Lady of Good Counsel, in Darien.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
