From Grand Forks ND take the I-29 North to the Grafton ND Exit
and go west on Highway 17 about 10 miles. When entering Grafton
turn right onto Eastview Drive and go north about ½ mile and turn
right (east) on County Rd 11 about ¼ of a mile. On your right you
will see the Golf Course and on the left will be Saint John Cemetery.
This cemetery is divided into 3 sections with the middle
section containing the older stones. Saint John Catholic Church
was organized in 1884 but could not find any records regarding
the date the cemetery was established. The older stones are dated
in the 1890s.
I walked and read this cemetery in June of 2007.
