Storie Cemetery is located on Taylor Road in the Town of Foscoe. The Town of Foscoe is located on NC Highway 105 near Banner Elk. Taylor Road is a dead end street and the cemetery is located about 50 yards from the road on a small wooded rise.

This cemetery is on property adjacent to the Byrd Cemetery.

This cemetery is in excellent condition. I understand that the cemetery is privately owned by the Storie family. Several Storie family descendants reside on Taylor Road. No contact information is available.

I completed reading and transcribing this cemetery from all existing and legible headstones and markers in Oct 28, 2006.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
