Sanders Cemetery
Wake County, North Carolina

5400 Leadmine Rd.
Raleigh, NC

Lat: 35°51'15"N, Lon: 78°40'22"W

Contributed by Shirley Olson, Jan 30, 2002 [shirley32olson@yahoo.com]. Total records = 5.

Directions: From the Beltline (440) take the Glenwood Avenue Exit (70 West). Keep to the far right and turn right at the first traffic light, Leadmine Rd. About 1/2 mile ahead, on the left side of the road (west) the cemetery is very easily overlooked, so watch for the intersecting roads on your right. Yorkgate and then Oldtowne. Park and then look across the road for the cemetery.

This cemetery is an abandoned cemetery, well cared for. There is NO parking on this busy road. Park on Oldetown and carefully cross the road to reach a flight of steps that will bring you to this tiny cemetery.

I have transcribe from my reading of the tombstones when I visited the cemetery in January of 2002.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
