Blalock Cemetery
Wake County, North Carolina

Hwy. 42E
Wake County NC

Lat: 35°35'19"N, Lon: 78°41'07"W

Contributed by Shirley Olson, Mar 31, 2002 [shirley32olson@yahoo.com]. Total records = 17.

Directions from Raleigh, NC: From the south side of Raleigh take Beltline exit # 298, (Hwys. 401, 70 & 50). Stay on 401 South to Fuquay Varina. Turn left at the light at the intersection of 401 and Hwy. 55, and another quick left onto Hwy. 42. About 5 miles east on Hwy. 42, not far after crossing Old Stage Rd., is this small walled cemetery on the left. It is rather weedy but not seriously overgrown. Park by the side of the road.

Blalock Cemetery is no longer in use, it sits on the side of the road and appears to be without any caretaker.

I surveyed this cemetery on Mar 27, 2002.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
