From Zebulon, NC take NC 96 north six (6) miles to Halifax Road. Turn right (east) onto Halifax Road. Go 1/8 mile to Mitchell Town Road. Turn left (north) onto Mitchell Town Road. Go one and two-tenths (1.2) miles to Wake County/Franklin County line. Mitchell Town Road becomes Mitchell Store Road at Wake/Franklin line. Cemetery is on the left. Cemetery is fenced with "Mitchell" name above front gate.

Clem G. and Penny Pearce Mitchell donated approximately 1 acre of their farm for the Mitchell Cemetery prior to the farm's subdivision in May 1923.
